Once upon a short time ago, we were told the wonderful story of a man’s sublime love for a woman. The man, Adamantus, was a commoner while the woman, Kevi was a princess and the only daughter of a mighty African emperor.

The Emperor, Hulu, wanted Kevi to marry the tallest and most handsome prince in his kingdom but she ended up marrying Adamantus who was short and far from being handsome and who endured all the harsh obstacles that the Emperor placed in his path

Romantics with good memories will recall that Adamantus and Kevi not only got married but they ended up having five children and lived happily ever after. The period of living happily ever after intensified after the Emperor died and Adamantus became Emperor.

The Empire, Tohulu, that Adamantus was called upon to govern was vast, with a landmass that stretched from one end of the African continent to the other. Adamantus was not a warrior but Hulu had left him a very big and strong army which was very experienced in quickly crushing the revolts that continually sprang up from different parts of the Empire. The army was loyal to him but some of the princes of the kingdom were not. Their frequent attempt to dethrone him was however always crushed.

As the years passed away the entire empire never ceased to marvel at the undying love between Adamantus and Kevi; a love that seemed to grow stronger even as Kevi’s shape and beauty became less magnificent with the birth of her five children. This was how matters stood in the Kingdom until the fateful day when in the absence of Kevi and her children, who had gone on a visit to another part of the Kingdom, one of Kevi’s new maid was asked by the Palace Supervisor to take a bottle of wine to the Emperor.

Adamantus was alone in his bedroom feeling lonely and terribly missing Kevi when the maid quietly walked into his vast palace carrying the bottle of wine on a golden tray, which she placed on the side table by the Emperor’s chair. It was as she turned to leave that Adamantus walked in and stopped in shock. Not because she had brought him a bottle of wine but at the fact that she was the most beautiful girl he had ever laid his eyes upon.

Everything about her was beautiful; from her lush nicely braided hair, soft brown eyes and beautifully moulded face to her well-shaped body. For the first time since becoming emperor, Adamantus felt the blood rushing through him simply due to the sight of a maid that was kneeling calmly before him. He subconsciously thanked the gods for the fact that he came out in a big loose-fitting robe that fully hid the agitated state of his stiff manhood.

From that pivotal moment in his life, Adamantus became faced with a quandary of monumental proportion. Needless to say, he had commenced an intimate relationship with the maid, whose name was Temptitia, and as the relationship developed and he became more and more enamoured of her, she began to insist that he marry her as his second queen.

Adamantus still loved Kevi and could not live with the thought of losing her and the kids. But his mammoth problem was that he just couldn’t stay away from Temptitia who had like a succulent virus invaded every part of his body; especially from his neck up and his waist down to his knees.

Owing to his larger than life stature, it was out of the question for the Emperor to be sneaking out at night to spend some time with Temptitia. But would marrying her not enrage Kevi and give an upper hand to the Princes that hated his guts and who would thus gladly team up with Kevi to get rid of him? Would getting her to live in another part of the kingdom and paying her regular visits be the solution? Or should he simply bite the bullet and damn the consequences of bringing her into the palace.

Unfortunately, the history, as recorded by the Hulu scribes, of how this development played out is yet to be unearthed by the archaeologists who are right up to this minute frantically digging in the area in which the renowned Hulu Emperor’s library is believed to have been located.

In the meantime, your thoughts of what may ultimately have happened would be very welcome.

How can you blame Adamantus from wavering. It’s not uncommon for Kings to have multiple wives so i would even say he’s tried being a 1 woman man all this time. He deserves some reprieve!

After all he endured to win Kevi, then this?! Hulu scribes better unearth what happened. I hope Kevi finds out anyway…

Naa this was why the emperor was sceptical about him in the first place. He shouldn’t even think of marrying that maid.

Deji that’s not the reason why Kevi’s father was skeptical about him. Her father desired she marry a tall and handsome prince in his kingdom.
Adamantus should be very careful. If he ends up marrying Temptia, he may not experience the kind of love and submission he got from the late emperor’s daughter Kevi.

Adamantus shouldn’t be blamed for from being indecisive on either to marry Temtitia or not and to also make her live in the palace or not. He should be given a thumb up for his monogamous lifestyle he is known for.As a king he deserves a change to switch over.
On the other side he should also give himself a second thought as his sight on Temptitia is a love at first sight which may not end up as being long as Kevi’s.

The maid will conspire to kill Kevi but, of course, she will not succeed because Kevi was a beloved princess.

Or Kevi finds out about the affair and decides to plot her revenge. Hell knows no fury than a woman scorned

I don’t see Adamantus marrying Temptitia.
He only misbehaved in the absence of Kevi. He would not have done that if Kevi was around.
He is not marrying her. He might just compensate her i think
